Deputy Sheriffs of Hamlin County

| Chief Deputy Schlotterbeck
has been working in law enforcement for over ten years and became a
full-time deputy in 2002. He also worked at the Castlewood Police Department
as the police chief and Estelline Police Department as acting chief. Deputy
Schlotterbeck also served in the US Air Force for many years. He
became Chief Deputy in 2003 and remains at position at the
Hamlin County Sheriff's Office. |

Deputy Steffensen has been with the sheriff's office since summer
of 2003. He worked at the Estelline Police Department before becoming a
full-time deputy sheriff with the
Hamlin County Sheriff's Office.
During his off time, Deputy Steffensen likes to fish, hunt, and
spend time with the family. Deputy
Steffensen works closely with the city of Lake Norden. |
Since 2005, Deputy Alexander has been with the
Hamlin County Sheriff's Office. He got his Associate's Degree in Law Enforcement
Technology at Western Dakota Tech. in Rapid City, South Dakota before
becoming a deputy with the county. He was also an Explorer Captain and
Lieutenant at the Brookings Police Department Explorer Post for about four
years. During Deputy Alexanders off time, he likes to spend
time with family, work on projects, fish, boating, camping, and
snowmobiling. Deputy
Alexander works with the City of Castlewood on many different issues. |
