Hunter's Safety:
The sheriff's office has assisted with the Hunter's Safety program for many years. This program is offered twice a year during the spring and fall seasons. This course is open to anyone who is 11 years of age or older and will be age 12 by the end of the current year. Information on times of the course are published in the local newspapers, at your local school, and this website. Information and permission slips can be requested either through the South Dakota Game, Fish, and Parks or the Hamlin County Sheriff's Office.
